Berlin, June 29th, 2020 – Native Instruments today releases STRADIVARI VIOLIN, which meticulously captures the authentic sound of a one-of-a-kind instrument from the world’s most renowned violin maker, Antonio Stradivari. Built in 1727, the ‘Vesuvius’ violin was painstakingly sampled in the rich acoustic environment of Auditorium Giovanni Arvedi in Cremona, Italy – the town where the instrument was built. Chromatically sampled notes, phase-aligned velocity crossfades, performance-captured vibrato, 20 articulations, and mixable mic positions enable composers and producers to create highly expressive, realistic solo violin parts with a unique timbre almost 300 years in the making.

STRADIVARI VIOLIN is the culmination of several years of collaborative planning and execution by Native Instruments, e-instruments, and the Museo del Violino in Cremona, Italy. The violin was sampled with master musicians in the Auditorium Giovanni Arvedi – an acoustically rich concert hall designed by pioneering acoustician Yasuhisa Toyota. To help capture the most pristine representation of the violin possible, the mayor of Cremona asked townspeople to keep noise levels down and blocked traffic around the concert hall during recording.

With an extensive array of unique performance capabilities, STRADIVARI VIOLIN enables users to produce extremely realistic, expressive parts. For example, phase-aligned velocity crossfades on long articulations facilitate natural transitions between dynamic layers. Innovative modeling of real-life vibrato performances lets users weave authentic vibrato into their performances in real time. And a comprehensive collection of 20 articulations – from staccato and tremolo to sul pont and harmonics – allows users to create even the most nuanced, true-to-life performances.
STRADIVARI VIOLIN includes two versions of the instrument. A multi-mic version allows users to dial in the perfect acoustic space by mixing close, mid, and far positions of the 32 microphones employed to sample the Vesuvius violin. An included second version of the instrument offers a stereo-only mix that is lighter on a user’s CPU and RAM, enabling a speedier workflow and extra focus for composing.
Native Instruments has also released a behind-the-scenes documentary, showing how Stradivari’s ‘Vesuvius’ violin was recorded in Cremona, the same Italian town where it was built in 1727.

Vienna, Austria - June 25, 2020 - Called ‘We Are,’ the song’s lyrics speak of unity, peace, love and togetherness – a message Austrian Audio is keen to get behind at a time when all live music events have come to a halt, and while front line workers work tirelessly to battle the pandemic.

Looking ahead to a brighter future, the lyrics speak for themselves: “The future’s in my hands, if I poured it into love / What if you were that one, the one that could change the course? / One beat one heart, one life, one love.”
“The lock-down hit all of us in the music industry,” said Austrian Audio CEO, Martin Seidl. “After the initial shock, we sat down with the Austrian Audio family, our friends and great brand ambassadors. The idea was born to not only do what we are best at: be creative, but to also let good vibes outshine the daily bad news. We want to encourage positivity and hope at this distressing time and look forward to the day that the music scene is back on its feet.
“Divinity Roxx immediately supported the idea and contributed her song, ‘We Are’ to kickstart this important project. The lyrics perfectly paint a picture of better days and the idea of coming together: ‘We are what we’ve been waiting for / Put your hands in the sky and reach out for the stars’. And so we did, all together, with a group of world class musicians and with help from the Austrian Audio team.
“We – all being part of this great music industry – do have the most powerful tools on hand regarding triggering emotions. That is our passion, our instruments and our music. So here we are: separated by distances and restrictions, we are still playing together, for the music to come.”
Taking the vocal lead on the uplifting track is singer and bassist, Divinity Roxx, inspiring listeners to focus on their inner strength to overcome adversity. 'We Are’ also features the talents of a number of members of the Austrian Audio family:
Divinity Roxx: author, bassist, singer (musical director for The Beyoncè Experience). Kat Dyson: guitar, vocals (Sheila E, Zucchero, Prince, Cindy Lauper, Natalie Cole, Ziggy Marley and many others). Mike Scott: guitar (Prince, Justin Timberlake, Maroon 5, Rihanna and many others). Adam Gontier: vocals (Three Days Grace, Saint Asonia, Thousand Foot Krutch, Big Dirty Band, Apocalyptica). Polo Jones: bass (Zucchero, Sting, Pavarotti, Eric Clapton, Bruce Springsteen and many others). Thomas Lang: drums (Falco, Peter Gabriel, Sugababes, Robbie Williams, Nik Kershaw and many others). Leading music software distributor and reseller, Time+Space, has welcomed Sonic Atoms to their top quality line up of premium soundware brands.
A relatively new music software developer, Poland-based Sonic Atoms produce creative tools for composers and music producers, kicking off recently with Baltic Shimmers – an underscore/ambient sound library for the free HALion Sonic SE plugin.
Today, the company has announced the release of Baltic Shimmers Omnisphere Edition taking the library to whole new level with the mighty layering and manipulation possibilities offered by Spectrasonics’ powerful engine.

    Let's take a closer look...
    Baltic Shimmers
Inspired by the mysterious, vast yet beautiful nature of the sea, Baltic Shimmers offers an incredibly expressive collection of ambient sounds made from organic sources such as the sea, birds, and acoustic / electric musical instruments.
Baltic Shimmers comes with a custom GUI built for Steinberg's free HALion Sonic SE plugin, which offers easy customisation, navigation and manipulation. The instrument has 3 types of sounds: Shimmers, Pads and Drones which each have their own unique function and GUI page.
Shimmer type has 3 stages which can morph from static, through wave into foam or as Sonic Atoms like to call it “shimmer”. Pad type on the other hand is more traditional but built from 3 atoms. Every atom is a unique sound. Atom 1 and 2 is always a long textured played forward or backwards, while atom 3 is a sea noise which is always triggered on key release.
    Baltic Shimmers Omnisphere Edition
This new edition of Baltic Shimmers ships with 144 patches and 144 sound sources for Spectrasonics Omnisphere. They can be layered, mixed and manipulated all from within the engine, allowing you to instantly create exciting new custom presets of your own. The library is divided into 3 categories: Shimmers, Pads and Drones which all come from the original Baltic Shimmers sample library.
Both versions are available now, priced £35 / $€39 each.
To get the absolute most out of Baltic Shimmers, you can also purchase the Baltic Shimmer bundle which combines the original HALion version and the Omnisphere Edition for only £44.95 / €$49.

June 25, 2020 - IK Multimedia brings Z-TONE® advanced tone-shaping derived from its AXE I/O® hi-end guitar interface to everyone with Z-TONE Buffer Boost pedal and Z-TONE DI active direct box. Now available, both offer a unique active/passive pickup selector switch to ensure the ideal gain staging for any instrument; switchable PURE and JFET input circuits to adjust from pristine, transparent sound to added warmth and harmonics; and IK's patented Z-TONE variable impedance control for powerful new ways to shape an instrument's sound & feel.

    Z-TONE Buffer Boost
This guitar/bass preamp/DI pedal adds Z-TONE tone shaping to any player's pedalboard or stage rig. Now users can adjust the feel and tone of their instrument directly by adjusting the input impedance of their preamp pedal before hitting the rest of their pedalboard. Z-TONE Buffer Boost also offers premium sound, with a best-in-class dynamic range and extended frequency response, delivering superior performance as an instrument preamp.
A buffered signal preserves instruments' tone when using pedalboards or long cable runs, and a boost control provides added volume and drive when needed. Both the Z-TONE circuit and Boost circuit can be independently bypassed for more flexible control.
Z-TONE Buffer Boost offers true bypass on the pedal & amp output, while both balanced & unbalanced outputs let bass or acoustic players connect directly to mixers and PAs for a wider range of tonal or routing options. A ground lift switch is also included to eliminate buzz and hum.
Z-TONE Buffer Boost runs off either a 9V battery or standard 9V pedal power supply to make it easy for users to add to their existing rig.
    Z-TONE DI
This studio-quality active DI box lets users add Z-TONE tone shaping to line-level sources like mixers and interfaces, making it ideal for use both in the studio and on stage.
Like Z-TONE Buffer Boost, Z-TONE DI offers a best-in-class dynamic range for ultra-quiet operation, and a wide, extended frequency response that won't cut off an instrument's natural range. It features adjustable input and output gain, a balanced Main output with ground lift to eliminate buzz or hum, plus an unbalanced out for flexibility and a -20dB pad for an extended operating range.
A convenient "Link out" also mirrors the input signal directly, making it easy to capture a DI signal while still feeding an amplifier or pedalboard. Now users can record or mix both clean and amplified signals for reamplification without the need for additional splitters or gear.
For added convenience, Z-TONE DI can be powered by either a 9V battery or +48V phantom power.
    Made in ltaly
Z-TONE Buffer Boost and Z-TONE DI are both housed in sturdy metal chassis for extreme reliability and durability, and are designed and manufactured in Modena, Italy in IK Multimedia's own state-of-the-art facilities.
    Bonus software
Z-TONE BUFFER BOOST and Z-TONE DI come with a full download version of AmpliTube 4, IK's guitar and bass tone studio for Mac/PC. Able to work both as a standalone application and as a plug-in for most popular recording software, AmpliTube 4 recreates the entire guitar/bass signal chain from instrument to recording device in a hyper-realistic and intuitive way.

NEW YORK—June 16th, 2020—In a deal that aligns several New York-based brands, D’Angelico Guitars has acquired Supro USA and Pigtronix.

With a shared heritage as reignited legacy brands, D’Angelico Guitars and Supro have collaborated as a guitar and amp pairing in their marketing efforts for years. “We have always had a deep appreciation for Supro’s products and brand,” says D’Angelico Chairman John Ferolito Jr. “When the opportunity to acquire the brand arose, we didn’t think twice.”
“This is going to make all three brands even stronger,” says CEO Brenden Cohen. “I can’t wait for our customers to see what we have in store for them.”
Along with Supro, D’Angelico Guitars has also acquired Pigtronix. Both Supro and Pigtronix were previously owned by Absara Audio, located in Long Island, NY. “All three companies having a home base in New York just amplifies the harmony these brands already share,” says D’Angelico COO Jimmy Lovinggood. “The last few months have been an extremely challenging time for businesses across the country and around the world—New York City especially. We began this acquisition many months before COVID-19, and although this is a challenging time for every industry, we truly believe in these brands and decided to move forward in full confidence.”
Supro was originally founded in Chicago in the 1930s, producing amplifiers that were featured on some of the greatest rock records of all time. It was relaunched in 2013 and has gone on to achieve popular status in the music industry. Pigtronix is a fast-growing industry leader amongst boutique pedal companies, featuring forward-thinking design and concepts.
“The acquisition of Supro and Pigtronix by D’Angelico creates a trifecta,” says Dave Koltai, former co-owner of Supro and Pigtronix. “It’s a perfect fit, and I am thrilled to be able to continue making new gear for musicians around the world.” Koltai will be onboard as Chief Technology Officer, continuing to design and develop both Supro Amps and Pigtronix Pedals, alongside D’Angelico’s Executive Vice President of Product Development, Ryan Kershaw. “This is going to allow us to take everything we do to the next level,” says Kershaw.
Though the acquisition is now complete, the brands will enter a transitional phase, developing a new company structure and revised product plan for 2021. “We could not be more excited for what’s to come,” says Cohen. “This is the company I have been envisioning.”

REMAGEN, GERMANY: having opened eyes and ears when introducing its forward-looking flagship Quantum Synthesizer keyboard to widespread critical acclaim in 2018, Waldorf Music is proud to introduce its Iridium Synthesizer ‘sibling’ — sharing futuristic functionality and advanced tonality and applying those traits with welcomed added extras to a compact desktop form factor living up to the high-quality synthesizer developer’s demanding design standards — as of June 12…

Following in the Quantum Synthesizer’s trailblazing footsteps, the Iridium Synthesizer features a generous high-resolution multitouch display working — with haptic help — in perfect harmony with an adroitly arranged control panel positioning all functions for speedy operation. Noticeably new to the demonstrably different Iridium Synthesizer is its integrated 4 x 4 pad matrix, used to call up sequences, chords, scales, and arpeggios. A quick glance under the hood, however, reveals that the Iridium Synthesizer still shares the same selectable sound generation processes per oscillator (OSC 1, OSC 2, and OSC 3). As such, it can convincingly and comprehensively reproduce the sound spectra of the following five synthesis types: Wavetable, Waveform, Particle, Resonator, and Kernels.
As a direct descendant of the legendary PPG Wave hybrid digital/analogue synthesizer series that made their mark throughout the Eighties by bringing the distinctive sound of wavetable synthesis to the musical masses, the well-known Waldorf Music marque is synonymous with top-tier wavetable sounds. Subsequently refining and expanding this sound generation process’ potential, the sound of Waldorf wavetable oscillators span subtlety to brutality — animated, digital, and diverse, yet easy to control. Classic wavetables from well-known wavetable synthesizers hailing from the PPG and Waldorf stables, spectral analysis, speech synthesis, wavetable generation from audio material, and more besides are all available to Iridium Synthesizer users when selecting Wavetable.
With early wavetable synthesizers, even, typical waveforms familiar from analogue synthesizers were always available at the end of a wavetable. Waveform selection on the Iridium Synthesizer goes far beyond this, though, by offering up to eight simultaneously selectable waveforms per oscillator, enabling infinitely dense, fat analogue-sounding tones, with detuned modes, tuneable noise, and hard sync.

2GB internal sample flash memory is available to the Iridium Synthesizer’s Particle oscillator, opening up exciting new possibilities of traditional stereo sampling with granular synthesis functionality — also available when processing a live input signal — for extensive manipulation of sample-based sounds. So the Iridium Synthesizer comes complete with 2GB sample content, while sample material can be reloaded or backed up by the user via USB drives or MicroSD Card connections.
Creativity abounds further still when selecting the Resonator sound generation process to manipulate multi-samples from the internal sample flash memory or noise via an exciter and various modulate-able spectral parameters — perfect for generating awe-inspiring animated sounds and drones, which can, for example, easily be integrated into a Eurorack modular synthesizer environment via the Iridium Synthesizer’s integrated control voltage connections (CV In1, CV In2, CV In3, and CV In4)... another added extra that should surely be welcomed in this day and age of anything goes!
Get this, though: thanks to its innovative implementation of six Kernal operators, the Iridium Synthesizer can capably generate familiar FM (Frequency Modulation) tones of the type that revolutionised the entire synthesizer market in the early Eighties, as well as spectacularly different-sounding ones — and all without the notorious complexity associated with those once-revolutionary early-Eighties efforts ending up so overused on numerous hit records of the time. Thankfully, the Iridium Synthesizer’s deftly-designed multitouch display supports the processing and visualisation of sonic relationships of its Kernels, considerably easing the process of creating spectacularly different-sounding tones with more than a touch of originality thrown in for good measure!
But better still, OSC 1, OSC 2, and OSC 3 can each play one of those sound generators, so spectacular-sounding sound design can come quickly to Iridium Synthesizer users of all levels — before being balanced by the OSC MIX (mixer). Thereafter, the signal from the three oscillators makes its way to the DUAL FILTER section where fully stereo multi-mode filters convincingly cover all conceivable classic filter variants. Various filter modes are additionally offered by the Digital Former, such as Comb, classic Waldorf high- and band-pass, and notch filters from Waldorf Music’s Largo and Nave software synthesizers, plus PPG models, alongside signal enhancer effects, such as Drive and Bit Crusher, and more.
Moreover, an LFO (Low Frequency Oscillator) section with no fewer than six LFOs works with six loop-able ENVELOPES, all of which can be linked and smoothly operated within the 40-slot modulation matrix, thanks to the Iridium Synthesizer’s integrated high-resolution multitouch display.
With up to 16-voice polyphony in full stereo and an ability to overlay two sounds or play them simultaneously via the split function, the functional desktop design of Waldorf Music’s Iridium Synthesizer allows for sound design opportunities that are often out of this world with up to 7,000 patches internally saveable. Speaking of which, since Iridium Synthesizer patches are compatible with Waldorf Music’s flagship Quantum Synthesizer (running recently-released version 2.0 firmware), they can be transferred to and from the Quantum Synthesizer. Such cross-compatibility means that the Iridium Synthesizer comes complete with an extremely extensive sound set from the get-go... get going with inspirational sounds programmed by some of the best sound designers in the world, or work with the inspirational Iridium Synthesizer’s fanciful features to sound highly original, off the cuff or otherwise.
On the face of it, then, Waldorf Music has named its Iridium Synthesizer appropriately. After all, iridium dates back to the early 19th Century and the chemical element of atomic number 77 — named from the modern Latin word for rainbow (irid), since it forms compounds of various colours. Clearly, the range of sound colours available to Iridium Synthesizer users are almost limitless. Letting rip with that generous high-resolution multitouch display working — with haptic help — in perfect harmony with an adroitly arranged control panel positioning all functions for speedy operation is a joy to behold... both for eyes and ears!

Rennes, June 11, 2020 — Today, Hercules announced the launch of a new high-performance DJ controller that helps skilled young DJs move from the bedroom to the barroom or livestream. The manufacturer has long nurtured the next generation of young DJs, and as that community’s skills develop to the point when they can turn their hobby into a paid gig, they’ll be well-served by the Hercules DJControl Inpulse 500. The new performance-focused controller is built from the ground up to help DJs feel confident as they share their mix with an audience for the first time.

Hercules has been making DJ controllers since 2003, when they launched the Hercules DJ Console, the industry’s first 2-deck digital portable mixing deck with a built-in audio interface. Over the following 17 years, Hercules released multiple controllers that appealed to beginner and aspirational DJs such as the popular Hercules DJ Console Rmx console in 2008. Also, in 2018 they released the DJControl Inpulse 200 and DJControl Inpulse 300, both of which feature built-in tools that actively teach young DJs how to train their ears for the art of manual mixing rather than relying on the Sync button.
Today’s new controller, the DJControl Inpulse 500, comes with both Serato DJ Lite and DJUCED®, Hercules’ in house mixing software. “We have been working alongside Hercules since 2015, most recently on the DJControl Starlight, which in 2019 became a super popular, portable controller,” said Nick Maclaren, Chief Strategy Officer from Serato. “We’re thrilled to partner with the team again on the DJControl Inpulse 500, a controller that lets young DJs take the first steps towards public performances. We have also adapted our software to integrate Hercules’ unique, award-winning learn-to-DJ hardware features so that users who choose to mix on Serato can go into their first performance with the confidence they need.”
Although the DJControl Inpulse 500 features Learn-to-DJ guides and DJUCED’s AI-driven Intelligent Music Assistant, it also boasts multiple features that help DJs confidently make the leap to performing for an audience and getting paid for their efforts:
Ready-to-mix audio options:  Powered by USB, the backside of the controller is wide open for external sources - DJs can quickly plug in their smartphone or a media player via dual RCA auxiliary input or a 3.5mm stereo mini-jack as a back-up or as an extra source of music. Plus, the hardware mixer for audio inputs comes with an aux filter.
Controlled MC features: Plug in a microphone into the balanced micro input and play MC. The voice can be equalized, and its level is displayed on a VUmeter- if it glows red, it is peaking.
Filter FX: This pro performance feature lets DJs push their mix customization to new levels and personalize their sets with effects available with Serato and DJUCED®.
Solid retractable feet: Elevate the controller with folding feet underneath that glow when extended. This unique feature protects the controller from spilled drinks during rowdy performances and makes DJs look just a little more slick.
Build quality: sturdy metal backing plate on the mixer, rubber RGB pads and built-in Velvet Sound DSP from AKM for processing audio inputs and outputs.
Streaming support: Enjoy millions of tracks to mix with TIDAL and SoundCloud Go+ integrated within Serato, and with Beatport LINK, Beatsource LINK and Qobuz integrated within DJUCED. For more information about the full line of Hercules controllers, please visit hercules.com

Celemony Software GmbH, Munich, 26.05.2020 (ictw) – Celemony is pleased to announce the immediate availability of the new Melodyne Version 5. The Grammy-Award-winning software Melodyne is used all over the world every day for the correction, perfection, reshaping and transformation of vocal tracks, samples and audio recordings of all kinds. A studio standard, in fact. But even the best things can be improved.
    Melodyne 5: What’s new?
The most important new features of Version 5 relate to Melodyne's core competence: the correction of poor intonation on vocal tracks. The algorithm now detects – along with a host of other phenomena – the presence and extent of the unpitched (noise-like) components of the vocal sound as well as breaths, which it then processes separately from the pitched components. This leads to better results, less time spent editing, and a more natural sound.
Factor in the improved weighting of pitch deviations and Melodyne 5 now hands you back – virtually in two shakes – a musically perfect vocal performance.
The volume balance between the pitched and unpitched components can be adjusted – syllable by syllable if desired. This not only helps with double-tracking and vocal harmonies but gives you a perfect and precisely targeted de-esser into the bargain.
Totally new possibilities for dynamic contouring are afforded also by the Fade Tool and the Leveling Macro, as they too work on a per-note basis – even with polyphonic audio material.

A new degree of musical freedom
But Melodyne 5 also supports new workflows that further musical creativity: With the Chord Track (and the Pitch Grid configured accordingly), recordings and samples can be adapted at lightning speed to the harmonic structure and chords of your own compositions and songs. So any library sample now harmonizes instantly with your song. That's perfect for songwriters but also for remixers. And thanks to the integrated chord recognition, no knowledge of music theory is required.
The most important new features of Melodyne 5 in a nutshell:
With the Melodic algorithm, separate editing of pitched and unpitched components of the vocal sound (sibilant detection). Better results, less time spent editing, more natural sound The ability to control the volume ratio between the pitched and unpitched components – a precisely targeted de-esser function Improved weighting of pitch deviations, musically perfect intonation A Chord Track and Chord Grid to adapt any recordings and samples to your song – thanks to integrated chord recognition, no knowledge of music theory required The Fade Tool and Leveling Macro let you edit the dynamics of each note – even in polyphonic material A new algorithm, "Percussive Pitched", plus various other algorithm enhancements Fuller implementation of keyboard shortcuts
Melodyne 5: Working with chordsWorking with chords
Melodyne 5 runs in stand-alone mode as well as with 64-bit DAWs under MacOS and Windows – DAW integration via ARA, VST3, AU or AAX. The update costs 49 €/US$ for Melodyne assistant, 99 €/US$ for Melodyne editor and 149 €/US$ for Melodyne studio. For Melodyne essential and users who registered Melodyne after 1 March 2020, it is free of charge. A 30-day trial version can be downloaded from https://www.celemony.com/en/trial

AMSTERDAM, The Netherlands, May 19, 2020. FabFilter is proud to announce immediate availability of FabFilter Saturn 2, a major update to their award-winning multiband distortion and saturation plug-in. Saturn 2 sees a top-to-bottom redesign of the Saturn interface for even greater ease of use and visualization, as well as a host of new features and improvements, including 12 new distortion styles, a radically overhauled and expanded modulation system, enhanced envelopes, linear phase processing, and a pristine new ‘Superb’ High Quality mode.

Beautiful new interface with modulation visualization
Saturn 2 looks better and flows faster than ever. The darker color scheme makes the plug-in easier to look at for extended sessions, and four interface size options and a stunning full-screen mode enable adaptation to any workspace. Modulation is now comprehensively visualized at both source and target, too, with color-coded collars and tracks on knobs and sliders animating in response to modulation input, the source flow area giving an eye-catching overview of all mod signals, and indicators on controls and bands showing which parameters are being modulated at a glance.
    More distortion types
Saturn 2 almost doubles the number of distortion styles on board from 16 to 28. ‘Subtle’ versions of the Tape, Tube, and Saturation styles provide low-intensity warming, while four new British (Rock, Pop) and American (Tweed, Plexi) Amp styles perfectly model well-known guitar amplifiers, three Transformer styles (Subtle, Gentle, Warm) open up abrasive new possibilities, and the Foldback and Breakdown FX styles reshape and mutate sounds beyond recognition, the latter combining down-pitching with heavy distortion.
    Big modulation changes
With virtually no limit placed on the combination of 16-step XLFOs, Envelope Generators, Envelope Followers, XY Controllers, and MIDI sources that can be used in a preset, Saturn has always been serious about creative modulation, and Saturn 2 takes the whole system to the next level. Curve the Envelope Generator’s Attack, Decay, and Release stages for a smoother or more aggressive response, activate the Envelope Follower’s new Transient detection mode to tightly track drums and percussion, and route discrete band inputs to both Envelope sources as triggering signals — pulverize hi-hats to the rhythm of the kick drum, for example. The XY Controller’s new Slider mode, meanwhile, slims it down to vertical-only operation, and the XLFO benefits from legato MIDI triggering and targeting of the Frequency Offset and Balance parameters for modulation. And with custom naming of individual mod sources now possible, users can customize their Saturn 2 presets for effortless navigation.
    Mastering grade saturation
The new ‘Subtle’ saturation types make Saturn 2 the mastering engineer’s secret weapon, bringing enlivening presence and fizz to final mixes. In order to meet the exacting demands of such mission- critical application, the band crossovers now offer a choice of 6, 12, 24, 36, and 48 dB/octave roll-off slopes, the new ‘Superb’ High Quality mode switches the plug-in to 32x oversampling for almost total elimination of aliasing, and the Linear Phase option ensures maximum coherence for the crossovers and High Quality modes.
    Key features:
    • 28 diverse distortion styles, from warming tube and tape saturation to screaming American and British guitar amps, Transformers, bit crushing, smearing, rectification, and more
    • Up to six separate processing bands, with variable crossover slopes: 6, 12, 24, 36, and 48 dB/octave
    • Independent Drive, Mix, Feedback, Dynamics, Tone, and Level controls for every band
    • Two High Quality modes for 8x and 32x oversampling
    • Regular stereo and mid/side processing
    • Intuitive interactive multiband display
    • Powerful, flexible modulation system: drag and drop as many 16-step XLFOs, XY Controllers, Envelope Generators, Envelope Followers, Sliders, and MIDI Sources as required
    • Full visual feedback of modulation via parameter animation and ‘source flow’
    • Linear phase mode for mastering applications
    • Four interface size options and full-screen mode
    • Carefully curated factory preset library for amp modeling, coloration, lo-fi degradation, and FX
    • All the usual FabFilter features users have come to expect: perfectly fine-tuned knobs and controllers, interactive MIDI Learn, undo/redo and A/B switch, Smart Parameter Interpolation for smooth parameter transitions, an extensive help file with interactive help hints, sample accurate automation, SSE optimization, and more
FabFilter Saturn 2 is now available for EUR 129, USD 154 or GBP 114, supporting both Windows and macOS in VST and VST 3, Audio Units, AAX, and AudioSuite plug-in formats. Bundles with FabFilter Saturn 2 and other FabFilter plug-ins are also available at: www.fabfilter.com/shop
Existing FabFilter customers can purchase or upgrade to FabFilter Saturn 2 with very attractive discounts by logging into their online user account: www.fabfilter.com/myaccount
System requirements are either Windows 10, 8, 7, Vista or XP (32-bit and 64-bit) and a VST 2/3 host or Pro Tools, or Mac OS X 10.8 or higher (64-bit only) with Intel processor, and an Audio Units host, VST 2/3 host, or Pro Tools.
To make self-quarantine just a little bit easier during the COVID-19 pandemic, FabFilter offers free 30-day evaluation extensions for all their plug-ins, including Saturn 2.
