Har Cubase SL3 stöd för Mackie control

Misstänker att jag beställt Cubase SL3 helt i onödan.

Snälla säg att jag kan installera min Tascam 1082 som kontrollyta i Cubase SL3? Eller är det rentav så att det bara är SX3 som har stöd för Mackie Control Surface (eller vad det nu hette)?

Jag vill ju kunna använda kontrollpanelsknapparna först och främst.. men även motoriserade faders.

MCU-support har funnits i cubase sen 2.2

Ok.. anledningen till att jag frågar är att jag läste det här inlägget på ett annat forum (som iofs handlar om Cubase SE men som ändå fick mig att tro att det bara är SX som har den supporten)

Here is the problem:

Cubase LE came with the Tascam fw-1082, and it (LE) supports the Mackie Control Protocol. Cubase SE (versions 1 AND 3) do not offer support for the Mackie Control Protocol, so there is no easy way to use the darn 1082 with SE. We purchased SE3 in the hopes that it would include support for the Mackie Control Protocol, but it does not. We have spent well over a grand (hard drive upgrades, RAM upgrades, Interface upgrades, and now software upgrades) and the only thing we can do that we couldn't do before is sample 24 bit/96 khz and record our files onto a drive seperate from the application/OS drive.

Ok, so the pros out there might suggest using the Generic Remote Device Setup in the Device Setup.... Has anyone done this? I have been trying to get that to work for two weeks now. The learn feature is an interesting concept, except that it doesn't seem to like the idea of Faders... I noticed that there is an import/export setup feature, does anyone have a device file that supports the Tascam Fw-1082?

TO SUMMARIZE:

Bought Tascam FW-1082 which came with LE but we cannot use LE to work on projects already being engineered in SE, it doesn't have enough supported features in common with SE...

Access to the automation and control features of the Tascam FW-1082 have eluded us in Cubase SE (versions 1 or 3).

Is there a clear way to use the Tascam FW-1082 with Cubase SE as a controller, and if so, how EXACTLY does it work?

HELP HELP HELP!!!! I am LOSING MY MIND and we cannot spend the money to bump up to SX3. We have spent enough on Cubase at this point as it is.

Mackie has announced that Mackie Control Universal Extender support has now been made available in the newly released version 2.2 of both Cubase SX/SL and Nuendo.

The Mackie Control Universal features full implementation for Emagic's Logic Audio as well as the entire family of DAW software currently supporting the Mackie Control including: Digidesign Pro Tools, Cakewalk SONAR, Magix Samplitude and Sequoia, MOTU Digital Performer, RML Labs Saw Studio, Steinberg Cubase SX/SL and Nuendo, Syntrillium Cool Edit Pro and APB Tools TH-S software.

Jag har lagt ner 30 000:- på ny dator, program och plugins till min hemstudio denna vecka så jag kan nog inte riktigt slappna av förrän prylarna kommer och jag får börja montera och installera =)
