"USB Audio Recorder PRO" till Android

Hej. Jag fick precis ett mail från utvecklarna av Audio Evolution Mobile; eXtream Software Development. De har tagit fram ett inspelningsprogram/drivrutiner som stöder USB-ljudkort.

Dear Audio Evolution Mobile customer,

We hope you are still enjoying Audio Evolution Mobile on your Android device. Development has continued and we have focussed last months on getting higher quality audio to Android by writing software to access USB audio devices.

This has resulted in our release of the new USB Audio Recorder PRO app, which you can find in the Play Store here: https://play.google....e/apps/details? id=com.extreamsd.usbaudiorecorderpro

Requirements are an Android device running Android 3.1 or higher and supporting 'USB host mode', and a USB OTG cable if your device has a micro-USB connector. Some devices that are not self-powered may need a powered HUB in between if your device does not supply enough power.

The advantages are many:

* Finally you can have decent connectivity to your Android device: connect mics with XLR, line inputs, instrument levels inputs (depending on your USB device)

* Playback and record in 16 or 24 bit

* Lower, but more important, predictable latency that can fully and automatically be compensated for

* Zero-latency monitoring on the devices that support it

* Control hardware level input gain on the devices that support it

* Multitrack recording capability (not in USB Audio Recorder PRO, but in Audio Evolution Mobile when available)

* And not the least, this USB audio code completely bypasses Android with all its limitations, problems with headsets etc.

The USB audio code will be integrated into Audio Evolution Mobile in the next months and will be available as an in-app purchase. We will also be looking into the possibilty of using an installed and purchased USB Audio Recorder PRO app as another way of license checking to enable this add-on. We still think that the 2,99 for USB Audio Recorder PRO is a catch though.

If you haven't upgraded Audio Evolution Mobile yet to 1.5.2, we recommend doing so. Latest releases have improved mp3 support, full zooming functionality and sample rate conversion to name a few. We will be looking into automation as well as our next step.

Jag har Davys Audio Evolution daw det funkar allt. Det är han som skrivit os x intel drivar till bland annat mina m- audio delta pci kort. Kort sagt den här appen är säkert bra.

Men det är till iOS eller?

Kanske var otydlig, men det här är till Android, och jag tror det är något helt unikt än så länge på den här plattformen...

Edit: Ah, nu hänger jag med. Davy är han som gjort Audio Evolution av eXtream Software 😉. Är lite seg så här på kvällen. Sorry.
