Lite ProTools nyheter från IBC - Amsterdam

"I've been to the IBC in Amsterdam today and they were running version 6.6. They told me that there will be 3 new updates, 6.6 implements Avid Mojo possibilities, like video editing in ProTools. 6.7 is targeted at musicians, with much more and better MIDI implementation and there also will be a 6.5 update. I do not remember the changes in 6.5.

For the rest: the new compressor plugin 'Smack' is released, there will be a beat detective type of plugin at the end of the year and they released the live console, the Digidesign Venue."

Känner på mig att det snabbt kan bli rörigt med många parallella releaser, ska se om jag kan reda ut lite innan folk börjar gissa för mycket mellan raderna..

Pro Tools 6.5 var aldrig en officiell release utan en del av Avid’s Studio Bundle. Skillnaden mot tidigare version är kort och gott stödet för Mojo (extern video burk).

Studio bundeln dvs Pro Tools 6.5 finns idag enbart för digi 002 under win XP.

Inom kort kommer Pro Tools 6.5.1 att släppas för användare som kör digi 002 (inte 002rack) under win XP och vill ha stöd för Mojo men inte behöver alla de mjukvaror som följer med i Studio bundeln.

Pro Tools 6.6 är enbart för MacOS X och TDM och tillför enbart stöd för Mojo.

Mycke riktigt, 6.7 är en sk midi release för både Mac och PC, LE och TDM.
