Skillnad på save bank & effect?

När jag läste i manualen till Cubase 5 så såg jag att man i Vst effekterna kunde spara "bank" eller "effekt". Och om jag har fattat det hela rätt så betyder spara effekt att man sparar effekt med den inställning som man har gjort sp man kan öppna upp den i andra låtar etc. men vad händer om man tar "spara bank"?
